Life is Grace

discoveries of grace in my messy and imperfect, but blessed, life

I have sadly neglected my writing this summer. I will post a catch-up post (with pictures!) in the next few days, honest! But in the meantime, let me introduce you to my new hobby (as of last week), iphoneography–yes, it is a word!–with my new Hipstamatic photo app! (An app is an application–like Facebook, Twitter, etc, that one can download from the Apple Store on to one’s iPhone or, in my case, iPod), either for free or a small price. There is even an online Hipstamatic community where people share selected pictures, which is, for a newbie non-photographer like me, humbling. Mortifying, actually. But I am having fun, experimenting with all kinds of lenses, films, and flashes. So here are last week’s garden photos:

“Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend.” — Melody Beattie
