We have just endured several weeks of a painful cold snap here in Minnesota–you know, the kind that makes your face hurt every time you go outside, and a high temperature that straggles above zero degrees Fahrenheit is cause for celebration? One member of our little family, however, is a champion at keeping warm. It’s a dog’s life, as the saying goes.

My spiritual journey is all about finding the grace in the messiness of the everyday and the not so everyday. I’m a chaplain intern who loves writing and and photography. I’m also a Benedictine Oblate of St. John’s Abbey in Collegeville, MN. My creative inspirations include nature, good books, Lake Superior, my flower garden, and my faith. More than anything, I cherish spending time with friends and family.

We are enjoying some more reasonable temperatures for now, in the mid-twenties Fahrenheit. I hope it has gotten a bit cooler where you are my friend!
